CHEMICAL COMPOSITION:
The IUPAC name for this drug is methyl N-(6-propylsulfinyl-1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)carbamate, and the chemical formula of ricobendazole is C12H15N3O3S. The presence of sulphur shows that it is the sulfoxide of albendazole.
PRODUCT APPLICATION:
Like all other imidazole derivatives, ricobendazole also works by affecting the tubulin and the microtubules of the parasitic cells. This will limit their ability to reproduce as well as make them sick to death resulting in the treatment and management of the parasitic infestation.
